The Basler Läckerli is a traditional hard spice biscuit originating from Basel, Switzerland. It is made of honey, hazelnuts, almonds, candied peel, and Kirsch. The flat baked dough is, when still hot, topped with a sugar glaze and cut into rectangular pieces.
7. Zopf Bread
Zopf or Züpfe is a type of Swiss bread made from white flour, milk, eggs, butter and yeast. The dough is brushed with egg yolk or milk before baking, lending it its golden crust. It is baked in the form of a plait and traditionally eaten on Sunday mornings.

Älplermagronen is the name of a dish from the Swiss Alpine region, made with pasta, potatoes, cream, cheese and onions. The name is composed of Elpler as the name of the inhabitants of the Alps and Magrons, which was accepted on loan from the Italian macaroni.
